On 29th June and 3rd July local people are being given an opportunity to find out more about the University of Cambridge's exciting new plans for their North West Cambridge development.
Local residents, students and people who work in Cambridge will be able to talk to members of the project team about any aspect of the plans, which will see the University develop a thriving community of housing, employment and local services to the north west of the city.
The unique, sustainable, mixed-use community is being designed to meet the University's future research and accommodation needs and will enhance the city's existing communities by bringing high quality design and a range of new facilities to the area.
In November local people were invited to contribute to the developing proposals at a public exhibition and planning workshop, which was a great success.
Roger Taylor, North West Cambridge Project Director, said: 'The ideas and feedback the University got at our public events last year was invaluable in helping us shape the plans, and we were delighted by the level of interest the local community showed in the work we are doing.
'As our plans have progressed further we are keen to share once again our thinking with the local community at a public exhibition, and to get feedback and comments again so that we can incorporate them into our proposals.'
The University is holding two events for the public in and around Cambridge - one on June 29th in the evening and one on Saturday July 3rd, during the day. There is no need to book as both events are open to the public to come along and find out more or to have a chat with our team about specific issues.
They will be held at the following locations:
Murray Edwards College, (formerly New Hall) Huntingdon Road, Cambridge, CB3 0DF on Tuesday 29th June from 5.30pm - 8pm
University Centre, Granta Place, Mill Lane, Cambridge CB2 1RU on Saturday 3rd July between 10am and 5pm.
