Update on Emerging Masterplan - January 2010

Four new plans have today been published by the University, to show the progress being made on the emerging masterplan for the NW Cambridge site. The current proposals have been produced following valuable input from residents and stakeholders in the latest consultation round held in November 2009.

These latest plans will now be tested, and will form the basis of the next round of consultation to be held during Spring 2010. The plans reflect the University's desire for a balanced, mixed-use residential community, with a wide range of community facilities and plenty of high-quality green spaces.

Incorporated are three residential mixed-use neighbourhoods, clusters of research and development activity, and a mixed use local centre including a primary school, community facilities, hotel, foodstore and other shops and restaurants.
