Graham at Girton Festival, 10-11 July 2015

GRAHAM was pleased to support the Village of Girton, Cambridge, during their Feast Week, which culminated in a concert and village fete 10th & 11th July 2015. The event was an opportunity for site engineers, who are temporarily residing in the vicinity, to be part of the community whilst working away from home.

The Girton Feast is a non-profit making organisation, run by volunteers, to promote village businesses, clubs and societies. As one of five major sponsors, Gary Burt, Community Engagement Advisor for London and the South of England, donated his time and provided logistical support over the weekend by driving a GRAHAM tipper lorry to help with site set up and transport equipment along with presenting a financial donation toward the running of the event on behalf of GRAHAM.

The highlight of the weekend was the “graffiti wall” which was produced by the Girton Youth Project when several young people wrapped cellophane between posts and spray painted a mural.

Cllr. Rowena Barnes (Girton Parish Council), said, “Thank you so much for your help last weekend.  We couldn’t have done it without you!!”
