Bus from Cambridge

The most convenient bus service for Eddington is the Universal (U) service, which links Eddington with West Cambridge, the City Centre, Cambridge Station and Addenbrooke’s. The Madingley Road Park & Ride is a short walk from Eddington and links to the Bus station in central Cambridge.

 

Parking

There is limited paid-for on-street parking for visitors at Eddington. Pay and display charges apply to these spaces (excluding disabled spaces for Blue Badge holders displaying a parking clock). Drivers can park in the Madingley Road Park & Ride, a short walk from Eddington, for free for up to 18 hours. Charges apply for longer time periods.

Please note that there are rising bollards along Eddington Avenue Monday-Friday between 7am and 7pm. Only buses and approved vehicles will be able to access Eddington Avenue during this time. All other vehicles must travel via Turing Way.

Easy access to Eddington

All visitors to Eddington are encouraged to cycle or walk to the development. As well as road access there are pedestrian and cycle networks and the Ridgeway – a dedicated cycle and pedestrian route that runs from Girton, through Eddington, to Storey’s Way in Cambridge.

The areas of Eddington that are open to the public can be viewed on the downloadable map below. Some areas remain restricted due to operational mobilisation and construction works.

As part of its sustainability goals, there is limited on-street parking for visitors at Eddington. Paid-for parking is in operation across the neighbourhood. We would like to remind visitors that you can park in the Madingley Road Park & Ride, a short walk from Eddington, for free.

Eddington is only 20 minutes from Cambridge City Centre by bus, or 30 minutes from the train station.
